MenDeg provide special inspection services for existing bridge rehabilitation or for new bridge constructions. These services require special engineering knowledge, in particularly during rehabilitation works that are performed with the bridge open to traffic. Based on the high quality control requires for these services, MenDeg has selected an engineering team with vast experience in this exclusive field always working under the direct supervision of a professional structural engineer.

Our specialized engineering team also have knowledge in federal and local technical specifications and special provisions, road safety, civil engineering and transportation engineering. During the last five years MenDeg has successfully completed the structural rehabilitation of more than eighteen bridges in Puerto Rico.

In addition to the special inspection services, MenDeg also perform Load Rating Analysis to determine the live load carrying capacity of bridges as required by the 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 650, Subpart C – National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) (23CFR650.C). The analysis is performed using the AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation and the LRFR method to obtain the rating factors.
